Kinesiology Rock-Taping

Anne is Certified in using Rock-Tape, a new kinesiology taping method to provide musculoskeltal support for people on the go.

Kinesiology taping is primarily supportive during activities that potentially cause further aggravation.

When there is weakness or residual pain from an old or new injury, it can support the joint and surrounding area to promote healing.

It’s waterproof, and can be left on for up to five days. Kinesiology Rock Tape is flexible for maximum comfort and works with your body’s movement without hindering muscle function.

Of course, when you have an injury the best healing response will normally need a time of rest to allow proper recovery. But what if you can’t stop right now? Rock Taping can be used in times when you need to keep going, or there is an activity where you can’t avoid using that area for a period of time.

Kinesiology taping works with your natural muscle movement, and will help facilitate the correct movement. Creates a subtle support rather than rigid restriction.

Athletes, marathon runners, those in sports training, people with repetitive injuries like wrist, elbow, knee problems, lower back pain, plantar fasciitis, people who have had old injuries and are worried about re-injuring the area while it heals can often benefit from Kinesiology rock taping.

Kinesiology taping requires a consultation where Anne will assess the potential

use of kinesiology rock taping for your individual situation.

Each consultation may vary with individual needs, involving diagnosis of affected muscles, postural assessment including looking at range of motion, posture and understanding the demands of your body. There may be times when Kinesiology rock taping is not the most appropriate way to treat your injury, and Anne will advise you of the best options going forward.

Kinesiology taping is most effective if done after a massage therapy session.
