After massage it’s normal to feel sleepy or light- headed. On the contrary, some people are very energized by massage. You should drink a little more water (about ½ a cup) after massage to avoid dehydration. Both Chinese and remedial massage stir up the tissues and can aggravate the condition.
While massage often can relieve musculoskeletal pain, it can be normal to feel sore the next day too. If you feel worse pain two days after the treatment, it can be a sign the treatment was too hard for you at that time. Please tell your practitioner so they can give the pressure that’s right for you.
Your practitioner will give you any specific advice in your post-treatment care.
