How To Use:
Add a small amount of loose incense into the top of an oil burner, don’t add any water, and light tealight candle underneath. You may also mould a larger amount of the incense into a cone on a ceramic dish or incense burner. Ignite the top of the cone, blow it out, allowing the cone you made to burn through.
What is Fragrant Earth made from?
We combine the mixture from herbs, oils and resins. Dry herbs, resins – particularly ones that are naturally combustible like Juniper Berries, Frankinsence, Myrrhr are often used. In Fragrant Earth we only use Essential oils (100% pure) and do not use any fragrance or perfume oils.
Incense has a long history in it’s traditions, often used in rituals, sacred spaces, meditations, churches in many religious and cultural contexts. The significance of scent goes deep into how our brains create and store memory. Scent is a powerful memory tool. Research shows scents like lavender, while incredibly relaxing, are actually worse for you than nothing at all if you are doing an activity where you need to recall (learning, studying etc), whilst cinnamon scent has been shown to help the brain in memory recall.
