This is a 12-week course with with a weekly live Interactive video training via Zoom. Time slot is suitable for USA, UK, Asia and some parts of Australia.
Each weekly session is 3 hours.
Participants can log into the real-time live course session as well as get access to a recording 48hrs after the course. The recording will be active for 12 months post-enrollment.
All materials needed to do this course are provided. Course notes and handouts are made available for weekly sessions as appropriate. Additional references and reading material suggestions will be made available where applicable, but you do not need to purchase any materials or books.
Food suggestions for weekly recipes will be made available in a shopping list style if participates want to do these activities but you can learn the content without spending any additional money on books or materials. Participants need only to have access to the internet and a device to watch the videos on.
*A 3-hour session includes either one 20 min or 2x 15 min break times depending on the course content.

Understand the role of the Earth Element (Spleen & Stomach working together) and how it works with other elements in common digestive pathologies. Introduction to Cooking Methods – pros and cons of all cooking methods discussed.
Introduction to the properties of foods in Chinese Medicine – Flavour and Function (sour, salty, bitter, pungent & sweet), Thermal Qualities (Hot, warming, cooling, cold) and Properties of tonification and detoxification. By the end of session 3 participants will be able to identify what a healthy diet is for them, be empowered to make good food and cooking choices to support their health or start to address a pattern of disharmony such as dampness or blood deficiency.
In this session we start to look very detailed at individual foods, starting with common Fruits and Vegetables. Chinese Herbalist & Acupuncturist
Marie is an experienced Chinese Medicine practitioner both a herbalist and acupuncturist. Initially studying in Perth, Marie went on to study at Hangzhou TCM Hospital and then completing a Masters of International Health at Curtin Uni. In recent years Marie has been studying Classical Chinese Herbal Medicine, taught by Arnaud Versluys through ICEAM.
Marie has 21 years experience in treating patients working full-time in clinical practice since 2001.
Marie is also a lecturer in Chinese Medicine and social science, teaching at both university level and designing short courses for practitioners and laypeople in Chinese medicine at TAFE’s and private colleges over the years. and has taught hundreds of hours as well as over 10 years supervising multiple acupuncture student practitioners at once as a clinical supervisor.
Marie established a youtube channel, The Chinese Medicine Podcast to spread the self help aspects of Acupressure, diet therapy and understanding how Chinese medicine works to a worldwide audience. The channel now has over 5000 subscribers, and a growing audience on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
